Christmas 2010 set a new world record with the world’s most expensive Christmas Tree worth a healthy £7 million ($11 million).
The 43 foot GIANT hosted in Abu Dhabi’s Emirates Palace hotel smashed the existing Guinness World record set in Japan’s Capital city (Tokyo) in 2002 which held an impressive value of $10.8 million.
Abu Dhabi’s 13 meter faux fir was generously coated in 131 valuable ornaments containing precious stones and precious metals such as diamonds, sapphires, and gold.
The tree was the latest edition to the Hotel’s box of surprises, which includes an on-site marina, heliport and a vending machine which spits out actual gold bars!
All of our staff a Botanica Nurseries can’t wait for this record to be smashed once again in the coming years.
